Yielding Hearts – Fifth Edition

Time really flows like water – we are swiftly approaching the middle of 2025. Referring to what we discover with each Module as we progress in TSOTA, we can testify that we are living in a time of revelation. God is indeed busy and it is quite relevant – and a privilege to have been set aside for a time like this.

In 2 Corinthians 6:2, we are called to action by Paul, reminding us as believers to embrace the present opportunity for God’s grace and salvation, as He has already shown His favour in the past.

Let us not waste time to adhere to Jesus’ last command to spread the Word and make disciples. Let’s embrace this instruction and follow His lead in changing the lives of people around us, for we never know when you and I stand on the receiving end of someone’s giving. Your life is your legacy, your actions will have a ripple effect for the next generation – you were born for a time like this, to leave a footprint for those to follow – make the dash count (life between birth date and death date).

“For he says, ‘In the time of my favour I heard you, and in the day of salvation I helped you.’ I tell you, now is the time of God’s favour, now is the day of salvation.” 2 Cor.6:2

The Story of The Man Who Moved A Mountain

(Shared from KredX Monday Motivation)

This is the story of Dashrath Manjhi, a landless labourer from Bihar. The story of an untouchable from the Gehlour Hills who, with his sheer will and hard wor,k changed the lives of people from 60 villages by single-handedly carving a 360 feet road through a mountain. This is the story of a man who impacted the lives of his community and left a legacy.

It was the year 1960. The people of the Musahar settlement in Gehlour where Manjhi and his family lived had to trek up and down the mountain for 75 odd kilometres to get to basic facilities such as hospitals, schools, water supply, etc. Manjhi would climb the mountain every day to work in the fields of a landlord on the other side of the mountain to feed his family. His wife would bring him his lunch in the afternoons trekking up the side of the treacherous mountain.

One such afternoon, Manjhi’s wife was late and he soon began to grow angry. But when she got there, she was bleeding and badly injured. Manjhi’s wife who was in tears by the time she got to her husband had fallen down the slope of the mountain and had injured her leg. This was when Manjhi decided to take matters into his own hands. He sold the family’s three goats to buy himself a chisel, a hammer and crowbars to carve a road through the mountain. All he ever wanted was for his people to have access to basic amenities. The villagers laughed at him, scoffed at him and called him a madman. But nothing deterred Manjhi. He kept at it. He would earn his daily wages in the morning and by the dusk return to carve out the road. Manjhi worked with what he had at hand. He lit firewood on the rock and threw water on it so that the rock cracks and it would be easy for him to reduce the rock to rubble. Slowly and steadily, Manjhi carved the road and eventually, people started helping him, gave his family food to eat and began calling him ‘Baba’ out of reverence.

As fate would have it, his wife suddenly fell seriously ill and passed away because she couldn’t be taken to a hospital on time. This only further enraged Manjhi and he vowed to complete the path he had begun carving many years back. He eventually completed the road, 360 feet long and 30 feet wide, that benefited not just his village, but 60 surrounding villages by shortening the distance they had to tread to a mere five kilometres. Manjhi completed the road after 22 years of dedication and hard work. But Manjhi was not done. Soon after he completed the near impossible feat, he went to see the then Bihar Chief Minister, Nitish Kumar, to get the road tarred. It is said that the Chief Minister offered Manjhi his seat out of respect, a monumental gesture considering the faced severe oppression the Musahar caste faced in caste-ridden India up until then.

Unfortunately, Manjhi passed away the following year after a long battle with cancer. But what really stands out is his battle against unfavourable circumstances and his will to change his people’s destiny. It is a testament to everything he believed in. Even today, posthumously, he continues to inspire the people of his village and millions across the country.

“For we are his workmanship, created in Christ Jesus for good works, which God prepared beforehand, that we should walk in them.” Eph 2:10

TSOTA Studente Terugvoering & Openbarings

The April module for the second-year students was a study about the Prayer of Joyous Blessing from the book, Adventures in Prayer, by Catherine Marshall. Here I share an anonymous answer and testimony from one of my students about the power of this prayer.

I want to share a very personal experience that I learned from Catherine Marshall and immediately put into practice:

She talks about blessing other people, the people we love, but also the people who hurt us.

When I realized the power of blessing, I began to pray and bless my son in a completely different way.

After my realization through Catherine Marshall, I told God that I am helpless. I can’t help my son. I see the need, but I can’t do anything. So I gave God my helplessness and blessed my son.

I read a very beautiful explanation of blessing (Sunday Paper, a newspaper of the Catholic Church):

“By blessing, God promises his healing, strengthening, and encouraging companionship through the ups and downs of life. In blessing, God promises that he will guide us personally through life. When God blesses, it’s about inner peace with myself, with others and with God. When people bless, they place one another under God’s care.”

I have placed my son under God’s care!

As if God wanted to show me the power of this blessing, I received a call from my son the next (!) day. He had taken a blood sugar test, simply out of interest. His blood sugar level was very high, prompting him to immediately go to the hospital emergency room. There, he was told: “You need to change your diet, you need to lose weight… “

Since that day, my son has been working on precisely these issues. He is being monitored by a doctor; his blood sugar dropped very quickly, and he realized the danger he puts himself and his body in if he doesn’t pay attention to these things. Since then, he has been careful about his diet, and does a lot of sports.

I am amazed at God’s actions and recognize the power that lies in blessing people.I have come a huge step closer to God’s glory!

“The Law of Intimacy – Frequency” with Dr. Laura Sanger

In Module 4 of our second-year curriculum, we explore the theme of Frequencies, highlighting Dr. Laura Sanger’s fascinating research on the frequency of 444Hz versus the engineered 440Hz—a frequency intentionally used to influence human behavior.

This teaching is deeply aligned with Zephaniah 3:17 and the revelation of The Oil of Joy. I believe it is so important that everyone should have access to this content, whether you’re currently a TSOTA student or not!

Persoonlike nota

Uit my pen …Adventure in prayer Bybelstudie
